I like the music I make as Bluenicorn. I really want to do a live show one day. Even though it will be a lot of work and a pain in the ass, it will be the thing that I’m most proud of. I want it to be a beautiful experience and I have  a lot of ideas. I need to get into the electro/hip hop/dreamhop/!??! scene around here so I can make good use a great show in August.

Maybe I’ll be successful one day.

Yes, you could do that. Why would you not want to? These few seconds are precious. I can’t get more I just keep running out. There are so many yet never enough when we get to the end. The more I have the more I want. The more we talk the fewer my own thoughts. I just need to stop looking for it.

I wish I had eyes on the inside of my head.

I’ve gotten so much more comfortable with using Ableton Live to make music. I remember when I didnt think my computer could handle rewiring Reason into it, but it works very well and it’s opened up a lot of methods for me creatively speaking.

I know a lot more about side chaining with compressors so my sounds are a lot fuller as well, a sound that I’ve wanted to achieve for a while. I still need to work on mixing better and getting 100% of the field filled with music.

I was hoping to get an audio interface next so I can record sounds from my guitar and manipulate that into my music as well. Baths uses an electric guitar in his work pretty well, even creating bass loops with it by just manipulating the octave lower. The only problem is that my lame-o computer doesn’t have a USB 2.0 port  which is needed for no latency. Im gonna have to upgrad a lot.

Im hoping I can start preforming live when it gets warm again. I wanna focus my sounds on being chill, warm and happy. Perfect for the spring and summer time.

torture yourself

I’ve always wanted to start a band but I never fully got around to it. I’ve been making music on my own for a while, from writing songs on the acoustic to doing some electronica on reason. Whiles I haven’t done the whole preforming live in a band thing yet I’ve still been honing my skills in song writing, so I cant be too sad just yet. 

Right now I have the chance to start a band and get some practice in. Im really excited but I’ve come to a creative fork in the road. I’ve been focusing more on electronica and now I want to do a live electronica band. The problem is I dont know anyone who would be able to do this with me…maybe. Id have to get a lot of new gear as well which isnt a new problem. 

Im gonna keep pumping out these Kavinsky inspired jams until my mind is cleared. I need to master Reason as well. I started looking up information online until I came to a revelation. I should learn Reason just like how I did with guitar, just messing around with stuff until I get it. If it pays off like it did with the guitar it will be amazing.
